SW1 charity for 2009 - MIND

SW1’s chosen charity for 2009 was MIND.

Unlike physical illnesses or complaints, problems with our mental health are much more difficult to identify and diagnose let alone treat.  There is still a huge stigma even though it’s now well know that one in four of us will experience a mental health problem at some point in our lives. 

SW1 supported the mental health charity MIND, which works for everyone who has experienced mental distress.  According to MIND mental health problems can affect anyone, rich or poor, young or old, shattering the lives of those affected and the lives of the people close to them.

SW1 sucessfully raised £1,100 through out the year with our Walk for Mind and Christmas Fair.
